I spent my university years in the Swiss Alps studying at one of the world’s leading institutions for hospitality and tourism. This experience refined me as a professional, gave me the privilege of sharing moments with international peers, and opened countless opportunities to work and travel across the globe. During this time, I also had the joy of exploring the Alps, deepening my love for the mountains—a passion that ultimately inspired and led me to create ALPS CONCIERGE.

My first professional experience after graduating was with a small yet internationally leading company—a dynamic start-up in Berlin. There, I had the privilege of working directly with senior managers and alongside a team of young, creative, and savvy professionals. They introduced me to the world of boutique hospitality through a curated portfolio of owner-operated hotels, each designed to deliver unique local experiences with a touch of sophisticated luxury.

As a project manager, I led the operational development of a new boutique hotel opening in Polanco, Mexico City. From the ground up, our team designed the building concept, established operational systems, and developed the branding and communications strategy. The project embodies the concept of a private residence, catering to individuals seeking privacy and comfort through a sophisticated design, state-of-the-art facilities, and personalized services.

This project centered on bringing a renowned yoga teacher training school from India to Mexico. The school specializes in intensive in-house courses, ranging from 10 to 30 days, with certification upon completion. At the time, the school operated from two main locations in India and had recently opened a sister property in Bali, Indonesia. To facilitate their expansion into Mexico, I was entrusted by a friend and former student of the school to develop the entire business plan. This included conducting site research to identify ideal locations and properties. Additionally, I traveled to the school’s flagship property in India to take various practical and academic lessons, immersing myself in the concept to fully understand its essence.

I spent a brief winter season in Niseko, Japan, home to some of the best powder snow in the world. During this time, I joined the Haku Life team, underwent training, and helped prepare the building for its grand opening. The project represents the utmost quality, with meticulous attention to detail in every aspect. Some of the properties are privately owned, while others are available for rent, all offering personalized hotel services.

I had the opportunity to manage a small property in Japan during a brief winter season just before COVID began. The property was a three-story building with six fully serviced luxury apartments located in downtown Niseko. As the sole staff member, my role combined front office and concierge responsibilities. My tasks included:

Handling check-ins and check-outs, Managing new client reservations, Providing local concierge services, acting as a private driver, main point of contact for housekeeping and maintenance services.

Today, the resort is operated by the prestigious Shinta Mani brand. I had the privilege of supporting the owners as the opening General Manager for the original project. I was responsible for developing all operational areas from the ground up. During my tenure, I also engaged in exploration efforts by foot, bike, and motorbike, immersing myself in the surrounding mountains. The hotel is nestled amidst several +7,000-meter peaks and well-preserved Buddhist villages, offering a truly unique and culturally rich environment

When COVID-19 hit, the hospitality industry came to a standstill. I decided to return home and transitioned to the e-commerce industry. Together with my brother and a team of professionals, we own and manage master import licenses for Stanley Black & Decker Inc. in Mexico. After nearly five years of dedication to this venture, I made the decision to step away from operations to fully focus on developing the ALPS CONCIERGE project.

The second of three professional internships during my university studies took me to the original Mandarin Oriental property, one of the most renowned hotel establishments in the world. During this cross-restaurant training, I gained hands-on experience at a 2-Michelin-starred restaurant, the largest single malt whiskey bar in Hong Kong, and a buffet operation serving over 400 covers daily.

My first professional internship was as a caddy master at the golf club of the Ritz-Carlton Penha Longa. The resort operates two courses and welcomes members, hotel guests, and external visitors. My role involved assisting the team by preparing golf carts and clubs according to the daily tee time schedule. Additional responsibilities included monitoring players to ensure a good pace of play and collecting balls from the driving range using a specialized vehicle.

My third professional internship took me to an island in Thailand, where I served as an assistant to the F&B management team overseeing 10 diverse outlets across the resort. These ranged from pool bars and a beach restaurant to an à la carte fine dining venue. My responsibilities included managing daily operations, budgeting, event development, and promotions. During my free time, I explored the island's pristine beaches and spent countless hours snorkeling and scuba diving in its vibrant waters.

These two are my companions—my family in every sense of the word. Born in Mexico and raised in the Italian Alps, they are Shiba-Inus, a Japanese hunting breed known for being small, muscular, beautiful, loyal, and instinctively smart.

Exploring the mountains with them feels like having a sixth sense; they are always alert, aware of their surroundings, and anticipating potential dangers. At the same time, they are the sweetest and most loving creatures you could ever meet. We hope you get the chance to meet them in the Alps one day.

I underwent treatment at the Bone and Body Clinic in northern India for two consecutive seasons. Their unique, personalized approach to addressing musculoskeletal imbalances is centered around an intensive stretching and rehabilitation routine inspired by Manipuri techniques. These involve a series of qigong-like aerobic movements that engage the entire body's tissue systems, promoting holistic recovery and balance.

The first silent meditation retreat I ever attended was at the Tushita Meditation Center in Dharamshala, North India. I cannot speak highly enough of the course, the establishment, the teachers, and, most importantly, the teachings. Since then, I have participated in additional retreats at the center, including a remarkable 10-day program guided by B. Alan Wallace, a renowned meditation teacher and scholar. I now practice daily and am committed to continuing this journey for the rest of my life.

The Himalayas boast the highest roads in the world, with mountain paths reaching over 5,500 meters above sea level. Riding through these breathtaking landscapes is a true adventure. While a few proper highways exist, most routes are rocky trails that wind through endless mountain ranges. I rode from Delhi to Jammu & Kashmir and back, an experience so incredible that I repeated the journey the following year to explore even further. All together I’ve riden around 8months of my life here. Traveling from one ancient Buddhist village to another, I was captivated by the unparalleled culture and environment of this remarkable region.

Throughout my studies, whenever I wasn’t busy, I had plenty of space and time to explore the mountains in Crans-Montana. Whether it was winter snowboarding or hiking and trail running during the rest of the year, the Swiss outdoors offered endless opportunities for adventure. The northern state of Nuevo León in Mexico is home to endless rocky mountains, featuring every type of formation imaginable. I spent an entire season here exploring the climbing walls while working remotely. It’s a uniquely immersive experience because the town itself offers little in the way of restaurants or services. This simplicity fosters a self-reliant lifestyle and brings together an international rock-climbing community that gathers here every winter. Since everyone is in the same situation, the sense of camaraderie and connection is truly remarkable

I have a deep love for Japanese culture. For me, it is simply incredible for so many reasons, but none compare to the experience itself—it feels like stepping into another world, almost like being on a movie set come to life. I imagine the Japanese might feel the same way about us.

The powder snow in Japan is unmatched—better than anything I’ve ever skied before. It feels like surfing on cream down a mountain—absolutely exhilarating.

The hospitality industry is equally remarkable, welcoming to both foreign workers and tourists. The Japanese people are disciplined yet incredibly kind, embodying a sense of calm and mindfulness. They seem to embrace a zen-like approach to life, never appearing stressed, simply focused on doing things with care and intention

Some of the best adventures I’ve experienced didn’t even happen to me—they happened in books. I love reading, and there’s a certain magic in being immersed in a story that is unlike anything else.

These days, I mostly read non-fiction science books, with physics and anatomy being my favorite topics. I also enjoy novels, autobiographies of people I admire, as well as books on history, climbing, and Buddhist philosophy.

My first real mountain challenge was crossing the Annapurna Circuit Trek, which I did with one of my best friends at the age of 21. Our tools were simple: a printed PDF map and a 12kg backpack. We followed the trail signs and occasionally joined other hikers along the way.

From village to village, with a few detours to breathtaking lakes, we covered over 300 kilometers in 25 days. During that time, we only stayed in the same place for more than one night once.

I can’t say this is where it all began, but this experience solidified my passion and set the course for what I wanted to pursue in life from that point onward.

As a kid, I attended a summer camp in Ontario, Canada, where we had the opportunity to create our own personalized schedules. The camp offered a wide range of sports and arts activities, along with plenty of entertainment through staff-organized events. I always dreamed of returning as a staff member to gain experience and provide children with the same meaningful opportunities I had enjoyed.

Eventually, I returned as an Activity Director, overseeing the baseball staff for an entire summer. I also had a unique role as the caretaker for all Mexican campers. At the end of the season, the camp owners gave me the incredible opportunity to lead an exclusive 8-day canoe trip and camping excursion with the Mexican kids.
